Managing Director, Per Scholar
Toni is a transformational leader with an extensive background in workforce development, program management, public service, and capacity building in the nonprofit space. In addition, Toni is also a seasoned marketing and communications professional and workshop facilitator with experience in public relations/communications management, motivational speaking, youth-oriented presentations and leadership development presentations.
As the Managing Director of Per Scholas Columbus, Toni is directly responsible for the performance of the Columbus area national site. In this role she directly oversees staff and programming, as well as serving as the executive leadership face” of Por Scholas for Columbus, whose mission is “opening doors to technology careers for individuals from overlooked communities’.
Toni was recently honored with a 2018 Smart 50 Award presented by Hylant and Smart Business. The award recognizes the top executives of the smartest 50 companies in the region for their ability to effectively build and load savy organizations. Under her leadership, Por Scholas has been named as one of The Columbus Foundation’s Top 5 Nonprofits to Watch in 2018.
Prior to joining Per Scholar, Toni served as the Vice President & Chief of Program Performance and Innovation at tho Columbus Urban League (CUL), where she was responsible for the management of service delivery of all CUL programming.
A life-long resident of Columbus, Toni famed a degree in Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University, and a masters degree in Marketing and Communications from Franklin University. She is also a proud alumnus of the African American Leadership Academy, and was awarded the 2016-2017 BizTech award for nonprofit service.
