Liz Martinez

Leadership Partner, Portfolio and Project Management, Gartner

Liz Martinez has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry, focused primarily on portfolio management, financial management and organizational change. Prior to starting her own firm, Liz provided strategic and tactical advisory services to help global companies leverage their PMO and project managers as a competitive advantage. She has worked for and/or consulted to companies such as: Gartner, Novartis, NY Life, Standard & Poors, PWC, Deloitte, Michael Kors, St. Jude, Treasury Secretariat Board of Canada, AON, etc.

Partnership and collaboration have allowed Liz to successfully lead many teams and organizations in different industries, including pharmaceutical, financial services, publishing, hospitality and government agencies. She has mastered the ability to quickly assess diverse environments, people and business/technology to create actionable and achievable roadmaps to drive change throughout an organization.

Liz holds an MBA from Columbia University and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and ScrumMaster (CSM). She is based out of Morristown, New Jersey where she enjoys spending time with her 12 year old son, Charlie, and her well-aged beagle, Darwin. In her “free” time, she enjoys art, music and working out.
