Established in 2014, Not Just Spring Break® (NJSB) mobile app is exclusively designed for students and urban professionals (ages 18-40) as a tool to cultivate relationships, enhance professional development, and encourage travel and exploration. With over 10 years’experience in marketing and public relations, Khali has worked withmany governmental and nonprofit entities and small businesses. While traveling she thought that a tool to let residents as well as visitors know what events are happening in their respective cities was a demonstrated need. NJSB solves leisure search problems, reduces potential costs of events by serving as a liaison source, reduces time by providing search categories, and offers a variety of events. Users can purchase tickets to events as well as GPS locations, add events to their calendars, and social share events via text message, email, and social media. Types of events include: parties, concerts, comedy shows, festivals, career fairs, vacation getaways, conference, HBCU events, first time homebuyer workshops, health & beauty expos, NBA & NFL schedules, and empowerment & networking opportunities.
