Gina Sharp currently works as a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME). After hours Gina serves as the vCISO for the Black Cybersecurity Association (BCA) where she advises on risk to the organization. Gina is an innovative Cybersecurity Leader in which she brings diverse perspectives and solutions to the Public and Private sector. Gina has a combined 20+ years of IT/Cybersecurity experience with skills in Cyber Strategy, Leadership, Information Security Governance, Security Program Development & Management, Incident Management, and more. Gina is a certified cybersecurity professional as she holds the CISM, CCSK, AWS CCP, GCIH, CEH. Gina received her B.S. Cybersecurity from UMUC. Gina hosts a weekly room on Clubhouse within the BCA Coffee Shop “Welcome to the Voice of the CISO” where she engages CISO’s and other thought leaders from around the world. Gina has developed a program called Operation Real World Experience™ (ORWE) – designed to give participants hands on experience beyond the books and certifications in a real world environment. Gina is also a member of Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu (WSC). Gina was awarded the Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu Inaugural Rising Star award. In her free time Gina enjoys family, cooking, poetry, and mentoring the next generation of Cybersecurity Professionals.
