Gina Sharp

Gina Sharp works as a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) during the day in her current role. She previously served as the CISO for the Black Cybersecurity Association (BCA) during her free time, where she advised on risk and evangelized security. Gina is an innovative Cybersecurity Leader in which she brings diverse perspectives and solutions to the Public and Private sector. Gina has a combined 20+ years of Information Technology and Cybersecurity experience with skills in Cyber Strategy, Security Governance, and Leadership to name a few. Gina is a certified cybersecurity professional as she holds the CISM, CMMC-RP, CCSK, AWS CCP, GCIH, CEH, and currently enrolled in the MIT studying for C|CISO and AWS Security Specialty Certification. Gina received her B.S. Cybersecurity from UMGC formerly known as UMUC.

Gina is the host of two highly engaged Clubhouse weekly communities called “Welcome to the Voice of the CISO” and “Cybersecurity for SMBs.” Audience includes global CISOs, thought leaders, influencers, and aspiring Cybersecurity professionals. Gina has developed a program Operation Real World ExperienceTM (ORWE) – which is designed to give participants hands on experience beyond the books and certifications in a real world environment. Gina is also a member of Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu (WSC). Gina was awarded the Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu Inaugural Rising Star award.

Gina is also a member of the following organizations: Black Cybersecurity Association, International Consortium of Minority Cybersecurity Professionals (ICMCP); Minorities in Cybersecurity (MIC), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Information System Security Association (ISSA), and Cloud Security Alliance (CSA). In her free time Gina enjoys family, cooking, poetry, and mentoring the next generation of Cybersecurity Professionals.
